Description
This is the lava flow that kept me trapped overnight on Kilauea, as I was waiting for the magic light, so I could take a slow exposure of the moving river of lava. By the time I had the photograph I wanted, the river of lava had cut off my escape route. I ended up sleeping on the hot lava so I didn’t freeze. I felt like John Muir trapped on Mt. Shasta, sleeping on a steam vent… Ah, memories..
